Roseanne’s new show just got cancelled because of one of her tweets. It’s been described as offensive, racist, repugnant, and all kinds of other things.

First of all, how stupid do you have to be to not understand the ramifications of stuff that you put on social media sites like Twitter? Especially in this day and age.

She has since deleted the tweet and apologized, but the damage has been done. All of those people are out of work now. Apparently, she thought she was being funny.

I guess it goes back to the old adage

If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.

And that goes tenfold for the internet and all of it’s social media.

If you want to stay out of trouble, that is. I’m all for free speech and expressing yourself, but you have to be smart about it. You can’t just blurt shit out without thinking first. It’s like walking in a minefield. Sure, you might not step on anything, but if you do…see ya.

If you’re gonna rag on someone, do it anonymously in a poem or something.

Or delete Twitter, because that shit is dangerous.
